Force Registration

The Force Registration command, like most other commands found in the Network Tools menu, is used to manage an ERT or meter's status within the network and its relationship to other ERTs and meters within the network.

Force Registration forces the ERT or meter to initiate registering with a network, in the event that the ERT or meter fails to connect to a network when switching from mobile mode to network mode.

You must have Program Endpoints permissions to perform this function.

In some cases, OpenWay Riva 500G and 500W ERT modules must have a Force Registration command sent to become another registered member of OpenWay Collections Manager.

Note: A successfully completed Force Registration command only initiates an ERT or meter registering with a network, it does not complete the registration process.

Force Parent Registration prompts you for inputs. Expand the device type you're working with for its input details. For descriptions of the results, see Result and success fields.
